Reimagining Safety: Advancing Gender-Responsive Policing to Strengthen Responses to Gender-Based Violence

Join UN Women, the Nordic Council of Ministers for Gender Equality and LGBTI (MR-JÄM), and Danner during 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence for discussions on Gender-Responsive Policing.

4 December 2023, 14:00 – 15:30 CET, UN City Copenhagen.

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual campaign led by civil society to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. The campaign is supported by the United Nations through the Secretary General’s UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women initiative.

For this 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence event, we are gathering civil society, parliamentarians, Nordic law enforcement practitioners and Ministers to discuss the strengthening of the justice sector response, particularly that of law enforcement, to crimes of Violence Against Women and Girls. Through panel discussions, we aim to explore good practices and advancing commitments to end violence against women and girls through gender-responsive policing.

We look forward to welcoming you to a frank discussion in UN City on Monday, 4 December!
