The Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) has teamed up with UN Women to host a Barbershop Conference in Copenhagen for a forward-looking exchange on how male and female leaders can work together to achieve gender equality at work and in the home. The event follows the success of previous Barbershop events, including at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the NATO headquarters in Brussels and the WTO, ILO and UN in Geneva.
The event supports UN Women’s HeForShe movement and the Nordic Gender Effect, which is a part of the NCM/Prime Ministers’ initiative promoting Nordic Solutions to Global Challenges. The Gender Effect highlights Nordic equality policies such as parental leave, childcare, work flexibility and equity in leadership; and promotes the economic and social benefits of gender equality at work.
Join Nordic Ministers and representatives from IKEA Group, Deloitte, Schneider Electric and Volvo Group on 12 October for a dialogue on how we can achieve gender equality together!
