Migration can provide solutions to global challenges\, such as labour shortages\, adapting to the impacts of climate change\, or providing better economic opportunities for communities. \nThe power of one person to make a difference cannot be underestimated. Each person can be an agent of change for their community and help to create opportunities for others. From migrants themselves to United Nations personnel\, from host community members to the diaspora\, we can all inspire others to act today. Partnerships are at the heart of unlocking the promise of migration. \nEvery one of us can play a part. \nAbout the International Organization for Migration (IOM): \nEstablished in 1951\, IOM is the leading intergovernmental organisation in the field of migration and works closely with governmental\, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM works to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration to promote international cooperation on migration issues\, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need\, including refugees and internally displaced people. \nLearn more about IOM here. \nAbout UNHCR\, the UN Refugee Agency: \nUNHCR\, the UN Refugee Agency\, is a global organisation dedicated to saving lives\, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes because of conflict and persecution.
