Grunnet Film & UN City Copenhagen invite you to the premiere of the documentary:
Lykketoft and the Occasionally United Nations
Date: Monday the 29th of May
Place: UN City Copenhagen, Marmorvej 51 – 2100 Copenhagen
Mogens Lykketoft is the first ever Dane to hold the position as President of the UN General Assembly. Most people expect yet another President, who wil engage mostly in receptions and toasts, but the experienced politician has other plans. The documentary goes behind the scene, where Mogens Lykketoft dives into global politics at the highest level to stop climate change, to prevent conflicts and contribute to peace building, and to create a more transparent political environment in the UN.
The documentary is directed by the two award-winning directors, Lea Glob and Andreas Koefoed. It is produced by Grunnet Film in collaboration with DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation).
A panel debate about the documentary and the future of the United Nations will take place after the screening with the participation of Mogens Lykketoft, Mette Holm and Under Secretary General and Executive Director of UNOPS Grete Faremo. The debate will be moderated by Mette Vibe Utzon.
The event has been organized in collaboration with International Club Copenhagen (ICC).
Please note: In order to access the building, you will need to go through a security check similar to that at an airport. Therefore, we advise you to show up early, bring a picture ID and leave any dangerous goods at home.
